It can be high school, USCF, FIDE, or anything else, how many points did you score any why?Mine is 2.5 4 points and thats the worst because I lost to someone lower than me and beat and drew to people lower than me..

What are some ways I can improve my chess?
I& 039 m really looking to step up my game to the master level.I think I am in a great place, but I want more. I usually study master games and play a Guess their next move kind of thing, all the way through their game. This has become my main studying technique.I& 039 ve been playing a LOT of games for some experience. Is there anything else I can do? What studying methods do you reccomend for stepping up my game?My openings are pretty solid, I& 039 m beginning to mix it up with d4 My golden opening e4, and nf3. black i& 039 ve added sicilian defense to my French, and caro. indian defense, and slav.Tactically, i& 039 m pretty sharp.Positionally, is where I excel.I know my Endgame pretty well. I recently resharpened it.

Trying to improve my chess game, any advice?
I got Chessmaster Grandmaster edition, play chess online and with friends in real life. I& 039 m not really spectacular yet. Last night I played against someone rated 1360ish on yahoo, lost 2 games and won 1. Against chessmaster, I usually will win half my games against a computer rated at 1000 1050. It just seems like even though I& 039 m putting a lot of time into it, I& 039 m only getting better marginally, given I& 039 ve only put in about two weeks are actual " training" , but I& 039 ve played casually since about 13. I& 039 ve also noticed that I play white too much. My goal is eventually to be able to beat any casual chess player without much difficulty, as well as enjoying chess since its fun P. Anyway, any advice would be appreciated, thx.

cause whenever i want to play a match with a high rated player they always select the minimum time limit and i& 039 m the type of player who likes to strategize and plan my next move, and i know to save time and all but it just feels like they& 039 ve gotten to where they are not cause of their skill but cause of the time limit. my rating is 1560

In the game of chess,what does it mean when someone refers toan openings " main line?" What does that mean, " main line?" Does it refer to a trap, where if I don& 039 t know the proper response toan opponents moves I will be putat a disadvantage? Sorry for asking a question with an answer, even ifit& 039 s the right one or not.I& 039 m just very confused.
